How should I ship/transport my freezer?
It is always best to keep a freezer upright to transport it. For Amana freezers manufactured 1995 or later, only lay the freezer on its back to move it, if needed. Do not lay the freezer on either of its sides or front, because this may cause irreparable damage. Allow the freezer to rest a minimum of 30 minutes after returning it to an upright position and before plugging it in for use.

Amana freezers manufactured 1994 or earlier can be laid on their side for transport. Be sure to tape or tie the door shut before tipping the freezer sideways. Allow the freezer to rest in an upright position for 12 hours before plugging it in for use.
Important Note:
Be sure to follow specific, published user-repair instructions, such as these, when you are attempting to service or repair any part of your range. If the instructions don't make sense to you or you aren't sure how to perform them, please call an authorized Amana service provider for assistance.
Warning:
Do not repair or replace any part of the appliance or attempt any service unless specifically recommended in published user - repair instructions that you understand and have the skills to carry out.
