My timer wonÂ?t advance.
Make sure the washer is properly installed according to the Installation Instructions provided with the washer. If the drain is not as tall as the top panel of the washer, the tub may not fill, so the timer won't advance. An anti-siphon kit should be installed.

Check the electrical fuse or circuit breaker for proper power supply.

CAUTION: If you are not qualified to check for proper electrical supply, you may need to contact a professional electrician.

Make sure the water supply is turned on and properly connected. There should be no obstructions in the water supply lines.

On mechanical timer models the timer control knob must be pulled out to activate the wash cycle timer.

The lid must be closed before the washer can agitate or spin.

If the above has been checked but the timer still won't advance, you may need to contact an Amana authorized service representative to schedule a repair. An authorized servicer can be located by clicking on the "Customer Service" link referenced to the left and then "Service & Repair."
